Sims 3 is still better than Sims 4?

Oh, you're not the only one.
It might feel like you are on this site because it's intended for players of the game.
But there are a lot of people who liked/played 1 and/or 2 and/or 3 who can't get into 4, myself being one of them.
And my biggest gripe is how limited it is and lack of open world or world at all (that map is not a world!) So you're in good company. But expect most of the posts on this site to be of positive nature - it is afterall the sims forum.
