I am fascinated with Sims 3 thought bubbles. I like to watch them as sims interact with each other to get a better understanding of what they are thinking or what motivates them. I also like to watch and compare what sleeping couples are thinking about.Over the 5 years I've played Sims 3 I've gotten a better understanding of the meaning of their thought bubbles but some are still a mystery to me. Many are commonplace and straight forward such as little squares of color when sims are getting to know each other and they are sharing their favorite color. Others seem to have more than one meaning such as little baby shoes which I think means the sim thinks the other is a "babe".Show us some pictures of thought bubbles from your games. If they are unusual tell us what you think they mean. Or if they are confusing maybe someone has an insight into what they mean. The more pictures the better.Here are a few of mine from a bachelorette game I played a few years ago.On one date I set the couple to dancing together at a club. Soon after he broke away to dance on the table. This is her reaction.She seemed to turn to me saying "What a llama".The last 2 candidates where jumping on the trampoline. One kept thinking about getting married. And even though his relationship with her was not quite as advanced as the other's this was part of the reason why he ended up the winner. Also she had more wishes for woohoo and other romantic interactions with him.Kathy and Gabriel did get married and moved to Hidden Springs. My Sims keep thinking about dragons. I wonder why that is such a common theme? I do find the Sims in the original game and the Sims 2 had more relevant thought bubbles.

I love watching their thought bubbles too! One of my absolute favorite things that happens with the bubbles is when a sim is teaching a toddler to talk and the thought bubbles for both sims is the Grim. While it's an important conversation to have, I think toddler is a little young to be learning the hard facts of life, wouldn't you say?This happens in my game every single time I teach toddlers to talk. I wish I had a picture...

I do the same thing, too try to read what they are thinking/feeling etc. It adds another layer of hilarity to their expressions or actions.

I've gotten the lightning bolt with a red x circle over it a few times when teaching toddlers to talk. Seemed funny and odd that a mom or dad would be teaching one so little about a lack of chemistry but hey! Its entertaining. :)

The thought bubbles are easy, for household members they rotate between your wishes lifetime wish and motives, If your hungry your think about food, if there is a vampire around your think about vampire if your a normal sim. NPC sims only have one wish and that is whatever rolls in the first window, but they do the same thing roll their motives and wishes and if they have a lifetime wish they roll that. Also if they are around sims or objects they may have a opinion on it, x means they don't find that object partially interesting or have low relationship with that sim. They sometimes roll their moodlets too, especial when you do something to change their motive status.
