Sims aren't moving into my neighborhood?

The houses MUST have a fridge on the lot in order to be moved into (and a bed? I know the fridge part for sure)

If you move your family into a fresh sunset valley, are your sims the only ones? Or are the other starting families there too, and its just not adding more families?

Sims are the only ones, I tried multiple neighborhoods and even neighborhoods where I know the houses have all the requirements.Its just not adding any families.

And yeah lots have to have beds as well. I don't play in Sunset Valley, but I did go and test it and its the samething.Its been 3 sim days.

And the odd thing is, there's sims going about their business around town...

It might be that your home inspections are set too strict and I always disable the check for double beds anyways since a single adult only needs a single bed unless they're about to get married.I usually have my married couples using bunk beds as they don't always have room for double beds in small starter homes.
I often don't get new families arriving for at least the first year and sometimes it takes a few years before a new family arrives in my town though it's not a problem unless I wasn't seeing anybody moving in and it had been ten years.

I don't think that's the issue, I never change any of the settings in SP except for whether kids go to school in the summer and things like that.Everything else I leave be because I don't know what they do.I only play one household, I don't do multiple families.I don't ever touch the townies, I let them do what they want so it doesn't bother me what kind of bed they use.

So now I have sims moving in, but they all have the same last name as my sim, and my game has made my active sims, mixologist.

I've been known to play my entire town so I can just move them in manually from edit town and I'm playing rotationally because it's how I avoided the glitches you're getting.Some other settings might've been messed up to make the game start cloning a sim in town.

I shouldn't have to play multiple families to avoid glitches.

Are you certain that you have NRaas StoryProgression's form of progression actually active in each of these worlds? Much of what you are describing sounds like EA's story progression to me.
NRaas > SP > General Options > Enable Progression > True

Except the active sims becoming mixologists. There are two kinds of mixologists in TS3. There's the Service Sim kind that you call to your house to run a bar for you, presumably during a party. Service Sims are always homeless NPCs, actively played sims can never be Service Sims.

Then there's the Role Sim kind that would be assigned to a bar object on a community lot that serves such beverages. Actively played sims can theoretically be Role Sims but it never works for long and typically they lose the role assignment pretty quickly. I've never heard of actives being assigned such a role. Are you using NRaas Register?

Story Progression is on, because when I enter the game it says "EA Story Progression Disabled" and then says the other one is enabled, can't remember the pop up, but the mod is active and enabled.And then I get the message asking if I want to run all the homeless sims out of town.I thought maybe because I move to a new town using the "Move" option maybe somehow the save got glitched.So I started a fresh save in the town I was moving to and still no sims were moving in.

Couple days ago, I was playing in another world, and I'm like hey the game is running really smoothly tonight...Then when I went to edit the town, I noticed all the houses were empty.Only service sims were wandering around.I was like "That's why, there's nobody in the towns."

I'm not sure what's going on, but I was using MC to open a lot to see why a sim kept becoming stuck, when I was done I closed the lot and went back to live mode.and the pop up "Mixologist - Francine De Santa" popped up and that is my sim.I'm not sure what's up with that.

When I hovered over her, she didn't have "Mixologist" as a tag.But she's the only sim in town with that exact same name.And the same happened with my male sim.

Edit: I am using register as well.I'm more concerned with the empty neighborhood though.I managed to get rapid Immigration to work however, the game gives all the household the same names as my sims.
