The ability to arrive extra early is kind of meant to be a way to avoid our actively played sims from getting caught in the crowds that form closer to the classes' start times. But for those not averse to using mods, this one helps immensely by among other things making more entrances to the buildings where classes are being held actually usable. It works miracles for regular school overcrowding in homeworlds as well. :)
