Please, please, please! Don't put yourselves down! Both of your work is so good, especially for newcomers. When I first started out, my work was terrible. Unlike your awesome work for newcomers! It took me ages to start properly editing and getting the hang of things, and you may not think this yourself, but you've both picked things up super quickly.
When I first joined, I wondered how I was ever going to be even on a level anywhere near some of the editors on here. It's a bad frame of mind, and you need to remind yourself that everybody on here has their own style and a different way of working. Everybody's piece of work is brilliant in its own, unique way.
I picked things up because the people on here are so friendly and helpful, and that's not even an understatement. I was researching tutorials on how to do things all the time. I'd never even edited before and I even had to research the silliest of things like learning how to crop images in Gimp and brightening images. :XD:
You'll expand your learning even more as you go along. Honestly, if you're stuck with anything, anybody I'm sure will be willing to help you out. There's also tutorials everywhere, and if you like, I can find the links to some of the best ones that worked for me. I mean, I'd help you, but I'm only fairly new myself so I may not be much good, but I can help as best as I can with basics.
Please don't ever feel like you're failures, as you're most definitely not! I still get jealous over people's work on here all the time, but think of it as something to aspire to and work on. If you see something in someone's picture you don't know how to do and would like to learn, ask them! :) They're bound to help you out.
This was pretty long, but I don't want you guys to feel like you aren't accepted, as you most definitely, one hundred percent are!
Thank you, and I totally agree :) I've been on several forums, mostly for writing, but I was absolutely amazed at how nice everyone is here compared to on those. I was really wary coming in here at first because of those experiences, but everyone had given me the best advice and really helped me out a lot when I've needed it. I think it's impossible to not get discouraged sometimes, but for the most part I'm really happy with what I've been doing so long as I focus on seeing my own skills improve and not focusing on anyone else.
And oh my goodness, so many tutorials...haha just the other day I was flipping out because I couldn't figure out how to make my sim any bigger and then I looked it up and realized that there's literally a tool called "scale tool." It definitely takes some practice :) Sometimes it's a bit overwhelming but I love this community a lot.

This looks brilliant Ice! Can I call you that or do you prefer something else? Anyway this image is certainly better scaled than the first and I must say your sim cutting out is brilliant too! I love that dress too! Your hair drawing is nice and I love the hairstyle you've drawn, I can tell for sure that you're going to go far you just need to keep going at it as you have bags of potential!
Gosh too many talented newbies are popping up around here I'm going to have to up my game if I'm going to keep up with you guys!
Thank you :) Ice is fine, or Ava if you prefer. I was like twelve when I made up that username :P Anyways thank you for your comments! All credit goes to BEO for the dress- I swear she's like my favorite CC creator.

I think almost everyone on the forums has felt that way before, at least a little. Try to strive to improve instead of dwelling on where you are now. Just remember, everyone is accepted here, no matter skill level, or how new you are, or anything else.
Anyway, I was inspired by some of the awesome edits people have been posting (IceTigers, ForeverFranconia, and everyone else included), and I had to make a photo.
I don't want anyone to think that I don't feel accepted or anything, it's not like that :) But I wanted to make sure that Franco knew that she wasn't alone in getting discouraged sometimes and it's really just a matter of building your skills and keeping your attitude positive, which is what I've been trying to do. To be completely honest, having people around here who are a lot better than me is beneficial, because it makes me want to improve even more!
And that edit is BEAUTIFUL! My sims would die for a dress like that :P Reminds me of Elsa a little bit with the castle back there.
