Anyone else wonder why there are 57 thousand types of foos ball tables in the sims but not one air hockey table or a board game or a simple card table (not the robotic casino tables, I have those, I mean to hang with friends playing cards) - I'm from MI, we all play Euchre here but my grandparents and parents use to play all sorts of card games. Half of my friends play board games irl (one of my friends even owns a combo coffee bar tabletop game shop/hangout called The Dragon's Roost - best place in the world <3 ) but they're markedly absent from the game. Not even bingo, and believe it or not there are giant groups of people who love to play bingo! (I don't, but they must be crawling out of the woodwork because half the churches I drive by have bingo nights every week! :lol: ) I mean I don't even own all of the ownable foos and I have 6! lol What about you? Any type of entertainment you're surprised isn't in the game?

There is one (up to) 4 person table game that I use frequently for family and group game night -- dominoes. It comes with Showtime, for whatever reason. Anyway, I see that one as a pretty good representative of board/card games. Other than that there's video games and pool (billiards). But I don't remember hanging out at my friends' houses shooting pool very much as a child, and the selections of video games we had back in the Stone Age before most houses had electricity game consoles was pretty limited. :) Bingo is another matter. I was lamenting the lack of that one back at NRaas not long ago and was thinking of it more as a community lot activity with a Role Sim calling the numbers, excitement builds as players get close to completing their card, and the winners get a cash prize or some small kitchen appliance that no one needs. Probably modding all of that in would be more complicated than just designing a whole new game or expansion pack to house it, though. :/

LOL, now those sound like fun. But TS3 does have vacuum cleaners, so there's an already in-game object (from Supernatural) just begging to be re-used for some purpose other than speedy transportation.

Thanks everyone who is pointing me toward CC that offer range of various board games - I appreciate that so much! :) I don't really use CC but if I change my mind I'll definitely be happy with everything that everyone has offered :) It was more meant just a rhetorical comment and a conversation but it's so nice that so many people are trying to help! :) It's one of the reasons I like this forum :)

Sims will also shake hands when you have them visit another household's lot in order to be greeted and allowed inside. Sometimes that looks fine, but I have to say it looks ridiculous when you are visiting your best friend's house or that of someone your sim is dating. Or even more silly, when your sim's parents or grown children come over for a visit. :|

I have fund memories of playing cribbage in bars in the Alaskan "bush". I would like to see that but it would probably be easiest to implement on a table rather than on a bar top. And how about mah jong using the domino animations, or do they already have that?

off topic but hubby and I played cribbage and when he was in hospital we played when he felt up to it and taught some of the staff how to play. A few had never heard of it.

I would love to have seen sims play twister! I really am dating myself here but, I think most of y'all already know I am ancient.

I don't think I want my elder sims to be knitting, drinking tea, and sitting around quilting groups. Why my male sim Bo Dexter is still doing Karate, jogs, fishes and a lot of other things like going to France and etc. I want them to be active until they pass away.
I can't do all those things at my age, but my sims can and I love it. It is nice to pretend that being old does not stop you. My sims can do everything a younger sim can.

When I was a kid me, my sister and 2 cousins use to use the vacuum in the hall on the second floor, One of us would sit in the front and another one would run down the hall with them on it, we took turns, each had a turn as lookout at the top of stairs in case mom or my grandmother would come up and catch us. :)
