Story ideas wanted - please help!

I am creating a new story for one of my characters. Her name is Porkahontas, she a young woman who has a pig's snout for a nose. Having enough of her sheltered life she decides to look for a job, hoping to gain independence. Due to her unusual feature however, the only job willing to accept her is as a side show attraction at a small family owned entertainment business, basically a circus start up.

Porkahontas's snout is as much of a burden on her as it is a gift. People around her treat her differently simply because of her looks. This caused the pig faced woman to adopt a very shy and timid personality, something which she has made her life's mission to break. However, there are some benefits to having the nose of a pig. Porkahontas can smell much farther and stronger than people with ordinary noses. She can detect people and objects of interest from miles away and even through obstacles in some cases. She will make use of these powers as a sideshow attraction and eventually to keep track of her potential love interest.

Porkahontas is hoping to not only gain independence but also to rid herself of her snout. She has had enough of looking at mirrors only to face the massive porcine anomaly that has defined her lifestyle and friends. Eventually she will be able to save enough for a proper nose job. However, the way she sees her nose will change depending on how others will see her. If people like her she will like her nose, but if people mock and reject her she will detest her nose.
