@Kangaroobabe - I use this method from the link above for pictures.
What also works is pressing C in-game, opening your Start Programme (the screen that appears when clicking the Sims 3 Icon on yuor desktop) and then go to "My Uploads", select the picture (click the box) and select "upload". In your My Studio online you can go click on the picture, and clik it again until you get it in a different page with a different URL. copy the url and paste it in between a . I use this to get screenshots from my simming laptop (a really old one on which, surprisingly, it works) to my own laptop in which you can't put disks.

I have also used photobucket, which is nice because you can tweak some pictures, but find it too time consuming most of the time. Also I have found if I remove a picture from photobucket, it is gone from the thread...so no pairing down the amount of pictures.
On a happier note, I uninstalled and reinstalled this weekend and everything seems to be running much smoother for me. I also blew air all over, under and around the laptop so hopefully no more overheating...made it to generation 3 on the challenge! I am still looking for some CC that may b glitching my game but am VERY un computer savvy so limited in my abilities LOL
I used born in game sims I had saved to my bin (children from Sims I had made) for my founders this time. It is funny that their children have traits from past generations not played in the current game. I had a pink child, a purple child, rosy grey twins, and a pale (white) child. Also have one with black hair and green highlights! I have found that one challenge at time is about all I can keep up with picture wise (pictures make the challenge seem real when I can look back on generations etc), but can't wait to do a rainbowacy as I miss the White's. Also my Morgana Rayne which is always my legacy starter! I could not figure out how to do a rainbowacy with the A&E challenge since our marriage potential at the beginning is so limited.
If anyone has some suggestions on getting export to upload (I have only successfully uploaded once to the exchange), I would appreciate it. I have followed the directions/suggestions on site with no luck...I really want to chant my avatar to one of my favorite sims!
