I’ve been reading some more of the earlier pages and found several posts that stated people weren’t sure how to buy community lots. (I only read the first 3 then jumped to the last 3 on the thread when I decided to join in the fun due to low i-net access fully intending to go back later and read the rest)
I don’t know if someone has already posted this in between but you can use the computer or smartphone to buy community lots and buildings.

**BUYING COMMUNITY BUILDINGS AND LOTS
1. Using “Edit Town”, place your building or lot
2. Have your sim use their smartphone or computer to “Check Real Estate”
3. You will get a screen showing all the community properties (if any) that you own. Click on the button at the top of the screen marked “View Purchasable Properties”
4. Select the name of your property to highlight it, then click the “Buy Property” button at the bottom of the screen. You will need to have enough money in your account to cover the price. (the “Buy” button is greyed out if you don’t)
5. Your sim then heads out to purchase the property.

may I suggest you add this **to your post outlining the guidelines to help future simmers who decided to join in the fun avoid being confused or unsure like those who began the challenge earlier in the thread were. I’ve also been wondering about the “(no money requirements)” tag on some of the buildings and lots. Does that mean they are not owned by the family (but by the “Government”) and just need to be earned by mastering the listed skills. If this is so, may I suggest dividing your properties list into “Government” owned properties that need to be earned and placed and “Family” owned properties that need to be earned and purchased.
