I've heard it can be very frustrating. And there is nothing you can do to prevent it.


I'm not interested in that feature in the game so never really looked into it. I have a theory that once you attract the attention of aliens you keep it.

I've never had my sims abducted by aliens. Used to see them pop up out-side in the early hours of the morning every now and then and check out random things like the mail box. Then again I've never used the telescope to "search the galaxy" or kept hold of any space rocks. I've always thought searching galaxy lead to being abducted. Never tested it though. Majestyk's Adam was always being abduct. She came up with the space rock theory.

I think most of the problem lies in the town itself. Riverview has a lot of space rocks lieing around so of course aliens are going to show up. I was also using the telescope to help with Adam's logic skill so that probably didn't help me. haha
