Angel:I think twins will run in your sims' family. A little like real life
I agree. It is a bummer, not being able to play the game but at least I can come here for my fix. It will also give me a chance to put some balance back into my leisure time. Mum has been telling me for a few months now that I've been playing the game too much (I come out bout every two weeks to help her with cleaning) The other day she asked me if I was playing it again. I told her I wasn't, which was true. I wasn't playing, I was online checking in here and the other site! Then I got to thinking about what she said and realized I was spending a lot of time on the game or activities related to it.
Lately, if I'm not playing the game and keeping my game log, I'm on-line visiting the sites chatting, answering question or asking them and posting tips. When I'm not on-line I'm thinking about how I want to proceed in the game, or composing tips and questions in my head for hours before I sit down to write them out. Drafting and editing consume another hour or two. Then I go on line and check for\ any up-dates/posts make comments and answer questions if I know the answer(or think I do). Then I upload my post, editing several times until I'm happy with it. This eats up another hour or so.
This forced break has cleared my mind some ( I'm still thinking of ideas and tips I can share with you guys) and is making me focus on my other hobbies to stave off boredom. Instead of watching my sim do the things I love I'm starting to do them for myself. I've started knitting again and am looking at the other hand-crafts I want to learn. I am also trying to teach myself drawing and re-learning how to play the guitar (I had lessons when I was younger but never kept it up) I intend to try gardening and baking and start learning how to make jewelry when I get home.
EDIT: I'm on a disability pension so I have more leisure time than those who work :D
@ JMJ thank you for creating such a great pastime even though it can be addictive and time consuming
