I want to try this challenge out, but I have some questions that I would like to get clarified. I did not notice the answers to them in the rules (or it was unclear), so I would like some clarification. I apologize if some of these have already been asked - I don't have the time to read through 178 pages
I will edit this post with answers when I receive them in hopes others with similar questions may get them answered!
1. Can they start out on any size lot?
2. Is the initial $250,000 used to build their house as well, or do they get the house and have $250,000 left after?
3. Is there a limit to the kinds of items allowed in first house?
4. Can they have a garden placed using buydebug to start? I thought I saw somebody do this…
5. Where do you find a general store to start out with? Or if you build your own general store, what is allowed and what is not?
6. How do you do the things that require degrees if you don’t have university?
7. Small parks may be built without any money? What qualifies or disqualifies a lot as a small park (size and objects)?
8. Since any blood related household can be played, is generation determined based on how many ancestors between them and founders? Can new lots be earned by any blood related extended family member, or just those in the more direct line of heirs/spouses and spares?
9. Is there a limit to the number of lots purchased per generation?
10. Only one earned lot may be earned per individual, even if one is not required to be purchased or there is no overlap between skills? For example, if a sim maxes gardening and is able to build a small park for free, then maxes Charisma and Logic, could the same sim earn a school? Or since the school is free, if they max Athletic, can they then purchase a gym, since they have earned them each separately, and are not double dipping (like gardening counts for 2 separate things, I know that’s not allowed…)
11. Are joint lots earned by a single person? Also, can a gym have a pool in it?
Thanks to anybody who can help with one or more of these questions!! I'm really looking forward to trying this out!!
