Yep I agree. I have been a sims fan from the start. I still miss games like Sim Safari and Sim Tower that can't even be played on modern computers. I decided not to pre order the new Sim City and boy was I glad! I still don't own it and it's the first Sim game I haven't owned in a long time. Unfortunately it looks like Sims 4 is going the same way. For a while I was keeping up with the new information and checking the Sims 4 forum on here every day but I'm so sick of it I don't even check anymore. I refuse to keep enabling their bad practices by spending my money on such a sad excuse of a game. I've gone from maybe pre-ordering to not pre-ordering but probably getting at release (after seeing initial reviews) to getting on sale to never buying at all. It's sickening.
