hello everyone :) i just found this site! sad that the official website did not work out, mainly for the developers. that must be such a disappointment. but happy that this forum is still alive after the move!
i have been playing for a little while and am anxious to share my story. if anyone is interested. i have been writing down lots of notes to maybe turn it into a story. never done that before...
so right now i have a question. it may have been answered before but so far i have read plenty of pages in this discussion and not found it.
i have a 2nd generation child who moved out from home and married her university sweetheart. (she could not get married at home and move out with her partner because my home was already full and the other children not old enough to move out just yet.) her partner moved in with a little money and 3 uni degrees! one is in business and i now wonder if i can use this partner (who became part of the bloodline by marriage) to unlock the day spa. Or if only direct descendants of the original couple can unlock buildings. Any thoughts?
I feel like I can but it also feels a bit like cheating. I am really only playing this particular sim family right now in order to get my girl married so she won't stay lonely forever. after the wedding i was planning to move the playing back to my original family. So in this sense it feels a little cheeky: quickly jump to different families to unlock stuff. Do you do that and is it allowed according to official rules? Thanks for your thoughts!
