I am not sure what to do if my game is corrupted. I have quite a few old saves though. So maybe I could just start playing one of those? Although do you know from experience if one corrupted save would mean that the whole game is bugged now? I wonder if my plan would work. I do NOT want to start from scratch. Even less would I like to re-install. I guess before going to drastic measures like that, I may first try to delete my sims 3 folder... So upsetting. But it always happens sooner or later. Almost makes me want to go back to sims 2. I have a neighbourhood there that I feel very nostalgic about. I played all the families in turn so I kind of aged them up at the same time and played over generations. They were basically all legacy families.



One question to you all who also have trouble playing over several generations: Do you use hacks? Or does it happen one way or another? Just asking because I never play with a vanilla game. I could not enjoy sims half as much without woohooer. And I always wondered if the corrupted saves happen to vanilla games as well?

I don't play with vanilla games either and for the same reasons as you. I can't say that I've noticed the corrupt saves/games though. I always try to keep a backup save of my game, but it's a bummer when the backup is from a much earlier point in play. Hopefully you figure it out.
