Building your Legacy House into something big and beautiful is part of the challenge just as much as fulfilling lifetime wishes and painting portraits. For your average simmer out there, most won't get around to building a super mega-mansion. This challenge challenges you to do such a thing.
Thankfully the challenge does help you out. The blank canvas that is a gigantic lot and the super-long length on which to build it up give you plenty of time to slowly and gradually develop a giant house. I find that big houses that develop organically, bit by bit over a long time, have a certain quality not found in many houses that are built up all in one shot after firing up a bunch of money cheats.
