To complete the gold digger LTW, you must first gain wealth enough for your family to be seen as 'rich' by other sims. Then find a townie and marry and move them in. If they have the gold digger LTW (or have it available if you buy the change LTW perk) you can have a child or two with your current heir...then have the townie knock off your heir and see their ghost. The bloodline isn't broken because the next generation has already been born and the want is fulfilled.
