Thanks for the rules, Pinstar! I'm looking forward to this - I only got to generation 5 on my Sims 2 legacy before a computer problem wiped them out. I couldn't bear to start over, but I think neighborhood progression will make it easier this time around! (I was playing all the various relatives and their families in rotation.)
That's not always the case... I had a burglar come when my Sim wasn't much better off (bed, fridge, toilet, sink, bookcase, and 2 wall panels)... and he took the sink! My poor sim had spent an hour repairing it just before bed, too.
