I have never actually counted points for any of my legacies from Sims 2, but this time I wanted to. But now I have broken the rules (nothing too drastic) a few times to further along the story (I am blogging my legacy for the first time too). I realize I can play however I want to, but trying to follow the ruleset is fun and it's fun to share. So I find myself wondering about what other people do.
If any of you are ever "cheating", do you still count your points and post it on a blog or these forums?
Well, this is my first Legacy and I haven't cheated yet (I don't think) so... I can only go by what I think rather than what I do, but I'd say you could still count up the points and post it, but specify right at the start what you did that was against the rules. (And if you seriously broke a ton of rules to the point where it wasn't even in the spirit of the Legacy challenge anymore, I wouldn't bother, but I didn't get that impression from the post.)
Also, is there a way to actually bookmark these different forum topics? I can't seem to figure out how to get back to the ones I have posted on, easily. I'm feeling technologically challenged...
Along with the bookmark option that someone mentioned, you can also see the posts you've made yourself which takes you back to the topics, but it's hidden. Go to:
http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/listByUser/#.page
But substitute your own number where "#" is in the url. To find your number, mouse over one of the links above like "My Preferences," and it should show what user number you are.
