I tend to play without memories enabled these days because of concerns with save file lifetime but I looked back at my old "My Page" from a few years back and oh boy- drama! I forgot that so much stuf...

When I started simming again after a two year break I patched my game. Previously I had only been patched a far as Ambitions. When I loaded a save and got my first memory (for something terribly mundane) I quickly exited out of the game without saving, worked out how to turn them off and have never looked back.
