This game doesn't want me to have a lvl 10 magician!

She was fine in Starlight shores until she reached lvl 8. She got the limo. Then the game went south, it was so slow! I tried saving it while it was slow. Trying to load the saved game, it took foreve...

Hmm, have you guys tried deleting all the -Cache files from your TS3 folder? (The one found in 'Documents') Also, the game tend to not run all that well with a lot of expansion packs enabled. I did not experience any problems with my Singh family who recently received their last few promotions as singer and magician. Hope you find a solution!
