It is only the Patch 1.69 Origin controlled Launcher with the Pack and Stuff selector tab that makes this suggestion. I am well aware of how it works and how/when the notification is generated. And again sorry, but it is fine to play with all 11 EPs if the player chooses to and has a strong enough system to carry all of them.
Edit: It's possible that you are not aware of this but, although of course I don't work for EA, the guidance and advice those of us from NRaas give is not based strictly on our own personal experiences. It comes from working with many players with different play styles and systems for many years both with and without mods. If that were to not be the case, I would always preface any advice given with "I can only speak for my game, but here is what I see..." or something like that.
