I spent my in game time yesterday building houses for the four families that were living on empty lots.
The sims belonging on the various otherwise empty lots were found scattered around town. Few of them were found on or near their empty home lot.
The Armstead-Bauers are at 11 Birch Lane.
This is the lot the castaway group had been placed onto before they moved into various other homes.

This house would have looked better if I'd put it on a foundation, but the lot is reasonably small and I'd rather not have to rebuild the house from scratch if I ever want to add a basement for a garden or some other purpose. Or, to do a messy work around.
Adding stairs inside the foundation works sometimes but not always. I'd rather not have the problem.
The other reason it isn't on a foundation is that I was in a hurry and didn't want to bother with setting it up with a basement under the foundation at the time I started building it.
As the game progresses I'll work on this house and finish it gradually inside and out.
At this stage I've not decorated the top floor (in the roof) and I've done almost nothing with the second floor. I've almost finished decorating the ground floor.
The roof

The whole thing was built in a bit of a rush and the roof is a bit of a mess. Not to worry - I'll either fix it later or ignore it. The sims don't mind.

There is room here for work spaces if I ever do use this house again for another family at some stage.

This floor has plenty of room for most of the skilling objects the sims might want.

This is the living space for the family.
When I decorate a Sim's home I do it with the main motivation of making the Sims have a +40 Beautifully Decorated moodlet in most rooms. This applies especially to rooms in which the Sims spend a lot of time. I put that critera above the desire to have the rooms look pleasing to me.
Here are a few pictures of the way the ground floor has been decorated.

--------------------------------------------
I initially found the Armstead-Bauer family in Sunset Valley (2nd Edition Final) when I was looking for townie toddlers to put into my toddler school.
I am not sure what world is their original home world. I suspect it may be Twinbrook as I haven't spent much time in that world and don't know its inhabitants. SV 2nd Edition has townie Sims from Sunset Valley, Riverview and Twinbrook.
I brought them to Twin Towns because the teenage daughter, Brenda, had been to toddler school as well as children's school at the boarding school.
I am not very interested in Brenda's parents, but they are necessary to provide her with her family tree.
Hopefully, Brenda will eventually marry one of my main characters, or maybe one or more of her descendants might marry into the main family.
Brenda has a lot of skills. She is well known to many other young Sims in the game and needs to go to boarding school soon to learn her fishing and cooking skills plus whatever else she needs to know.
------------------------------
Having the boarding school lets me get to know Sims from all over town as well as letting Sims from different households get to know each other well. Friendships are formed and some young Sims find future romantic interests at the boarding school.
Another benefit of the boarding school is it always needs a few adult or young adult sims in it and it is an excellent way to give skills to them while the children and teens are at school.
I recently had to move Lucy Lions out of the boarding school because she is a favourite nanny and she now has more skills than any other sim in the game. She is a genie and is quite useful when it comes to cleaning.
----------------------------
Brenda's father is Jesse Armstead-Bauer.

He is an elder. Jesse's lifetime wish is Golden Fingers Golden Tongue. I doubt he'll achieve this but he does have some guitar skill and he has a guitar in his inventory. He is currently wishing to go to Charisma Class and he has the money to pay for it.
Jesse's traits are: Family Oriented, Perfectionist, Excitable, Great Kisser, Couch Potato.
Brenda's mother, Terry is an adult.
I found Terry working out to the TV at the Firestation.

Terry's lifetime wish is to be a Firefighter Superhero.
The game has currently put her into the firefighter career and it will probably get her to the top of the career so she has some hope of achieving her LTW. I'm using NRAAS Story Progression.
Terry's traits are: Neurotic, Clumsy, Nurturing, Brave, Genius.
Brenda has always been a good student at the Boarding School. I've enjoyed having her in the game,

Here she is doing her homework.
Brenda's traits are: Loves the Outdoors, Virtuoso, Nurturing, Handy.
She is currently a C Grade student at school.
