Twins Birthday

Hi I have a new issue with my game and it could be a result of a mod or custom content but I wanted to mention it here and see if anyone knows anything-

My sim family had twin babies and today is their birthday aging from baby to toddler so i threw them a party and sent the mom to blow out candles for one of the babies and the dad to blow out candles for the other baby so they can age up together but when i select for the mom to do it the action appears in the dad's queue and the mom stands and does nothing.. meaning he would blow out candles for one baby then go get the other baby while the first is aging up... :neutral:

    I am not sure how the game decides who takes babies and toddlers to the birthday cake but it seems to be random in my game. I thought perhaps it was the parent with the highest relationship but it doesn't seem to be so.

    @SimplyJen nope, i get 2 for twins. i think maybe it was an issue with the mom because after they ate cake i had her put away left overs and she moved all the plates over but didnt take any to the fridge so i used resetsim on her and then she put away the food no problem.

    In my experience, it is the person with the highest relationship to the toddler in the household. There's really no way to force anyone else to do it, the game will always switch to the other person.

    @Mikezumi ooo i wonder if its based on relationship! i had the dad care most for the babies

    Silly of me to ask but are you doing this with a single birthday cake?
