Unfinished Room Moodlet -- How do I get rid of it?

The room is L-shaped, so I built a wall in front of the stairs, dividing it into two parts. I was able to determine that the problem was in section by the stairs, not by the sofa. I tried re-doing the stairs and moved the easel around. The I made my Sim paint to see if the unfinished moodlet came back. It didn't. So, the problem has fixed itself somehow, but I don't know how. :roll:

If it happens again, I will definitely try the roof idea. That's very clever.
