@Rflong7 - I don't think your opinion is unpopular at all. In fact, I've heard it echoed more than a few times on these very forums. Sims aren't real. Sim's are just computer code. Sims are just a game. They don't feel, can't see, don't care. Present any sort of problem and I guarantee there will be at least one Simmer who will show up and type some variation of those statements.
I do agree about the Unattractive Sims. I prefer personality as well.
