I can see the appeal in doing a legacy challenge. Starting with a single Sim and watching as the family tree grows and branches out. Knowing the history behind every limb of that tree. Personally, I lack the discipline to do one myself and @ingridmf I wish you success with yours.
In the same vein, I don't understand what is actually accomplished by having 100 babies, fouls, cats, dogs whatever. Nor, the 'Breed out the Ugly' challenges. But those seem to be highly popular.
