Weird Launcher behaviour....

I'm just wondering if anyone else has the same problem with the Sims 3 launcher where it says "The website cannot display the page" and then it goes on with what to do like refresh and what not?, but yet I can still play the game! It has just done this in the last 2 days.

That's been a very common problem on and off for years and it's all on EA's end, not the player's. It means that the function that displays EA ads, what's on sale at the TS3 store, etc. is failing. Nothing really Launcher or game related.

Does this also apply to signing into your account through the launcher? I have several items that I am trying to upload to my account from the store, but the launcher won't allow me to sign in, it isn't rejecting the password, or my name, it just won't do anything except flash and show me the same sign in pop up over and over.

  • I don't believe the javascript ad errors have anything to do with an inability to sign in. The Launcher uses Internet Explorer's resources even if you use a different browser routinely or by default; definitely try clearing the IE cache to see if that helps.

But I suspect part of the problem may have been related somehow to the TS3 and Exchange issues that were just cleared up the other day.

I have IE disabled through Windows Explorer. Even with that, I've never run into this, until today. (It's been disabled and the launcher never gave me this up until now) Am I still able to clear cache?

  • I believe the blank launcher page is not a big deal - it just means the internet is not loading up EA's pictures. Kind of like the internet being down. You can clear caches, play the game, etc. No worries.
