I play rotationally, so I'm on my fourth gen of my family and I play every single living family member. My sims refuse to die. Like my lifespan is 158 sim days and my second gen girlie & her wife are at 190 days and I've only had one death from old age... If I want to keep playing with everyone without moving a sim out and they have money I just buy a second property. Sometimes I use master controller to give my sims a new LTW if I feel like they want more from life. As much as I want my simmies to stay around I don't really go out of my way to keep them alive. A gardener might have a death flower or maybe they'll get some free days from the sauna or soy milk or something, but its usually of their own volition. Yet they just refuse to die.. I don't mind the large household size being chaotic since I'm usually putting most of my attention on the newest generation anyway and sims get into trouble when you aren't watching them, which can make for some interesting scenarios
