What does this animation mean?
My Sim doesn't know Kirby Wise, she is not a celebrity and doesn't do anything other than acting normal. I just can't figure out why Sims sometimes react like this. NPCs also do it at each other. h...

I'll give a wild guess here: I think these reactions come from University Life.
When I played The Sims 3, I noticed that sims react to other sims. Some sims are waved at while others are applauded at, booed at etc.
Now, when I started to to the expansion pack videos, I removed all the packs except the pack I'm making the video on and previous packs. I'm currently at Seasons expansion pack (University Life is next) and I haven't noticed sims react to others like they did when I had all the expansion packs enabled. I'll see whether my guess is true or not soon.
The reason I guess University Life is because there are social groups and blogs. I don't think it's caused by reputations as even those with no romantic reputation get booed or applauded at.
Edit. But then again, sims who get reacted to belong to none of the social groups...
