What I discovered about worlds

No matter what world pay attention to stuff that seems minor but it is drawing your sims away and get rid of them.For example in Lucky Palms there is a useless premade community lot *Sandy Place* there is nothing there to do just has the appearance of a small diner.

Anyway during my game took a look around and at that lot was Ten Sims in it watching a sim play guitar and just talking to one another.Had that been gone 10 sims would have been elsewhere.Then factor in LP has two pools :s and several garden park type lots they need to be eliminated.

This is what kills your other venues as mentioned kill the pointless community lots like multiple pools and stuff

Inside Sandy Place,this also goes on on other stoopid lots add up the sims in those,picture them gone and go "Wow 33 sims would have been spread at my other lots"

Once you populate some of the empty homes etc with your own townies and eliminate pointless lots you have plenty at each venue.I like having one bar,one arcade type with bowling one gym etc.

@CravenLestat I agree, there are a lot of nice worlds, but they have the same kind of lots. I find some that have 5 bars. so delete 4 and everyone will go to that last one. I have some nice worlds I would like to play, so I will delete some lots and see if it makes it better.

There's as suggestion on the NRaas site to look at the lots you don't use in a world and set them to No Visitors Allowed. That's supposed to help increase the the number of sims who visit other lots. I do this in Sims University. Seems to help somewhat.

When I start playing in a new world, CC or EA, I always check out the venues and get rid of duplicates or set them to NVA until I decide what to do with them. And I make sure there's aren't more clubs, bars, consignment shops, lounges, etc. than I really need. Partly to help boost visitors to the venues my sims will use, and partly to reduce the number of role sims in the world.

@Evalen IKR Hate that :# Same with SV has 2 community pools not to mention when having other exp's tosses down every possible performer venue then your consignment,makeover tattoo place,firehouse etc Argggggggg!!!! Setting up your world your way and just adding a few sims makes it jumping.

Like in my pic of Sandy Place in LP 3 of those sims are University Life townies,Two from Sunlit Tides both happen to be NPCs reccomended they are really good premades

Actually, 5 bars isn't a lot. There are Dive Bars, Pool Bars, Vampire Bars, Supernatural Bars, Hangouts, Dance Clubs, Fusion Bars, Disco Clubs, Sports Bars, Local Watering Holes... This are the types of bars the game offers with different styles to them- as in workers clothes, plus they draw Sims with a certain type of trait.

So, while you say they are duplicates, they are not. I spent a lot of time making sure there are all lot types available for each expansion and what you think is the same, is not. :(

When building a world for All the expansions... making one* bar seems boring. Making one library is fine- but you have a huge world with different sections, making them drive - or ride their bikes all across the map to go to that one place (school/bar/), I always got told things are too far away.

It's almost like, ... I want to say, You're welcom. :lol:

You can change the lot types to No Visitors if you want one club to have more Sims visit without tearing down lots. - or just stay with tiny worlds.

Hi @RfLong as you know I love your worlds, I am not referring to you. I understand that in large worlds there are a lot of sims all over and it is better to have some places so they do not have to travel so far. I do know that there are bars of difference.
Sorry if I offended you, as I have always appreciated your work. I do not play really Large, large worlds and I can see where that would make a difference, and I know that you have always tried to supply each world with many different skills for sims.
Please do not take offence as you are one person this does not apply to. I have many of your worlds and love them all. I have never changed a lot to no visitors, I will admit that I do delete all schools, in any world that I play, as my sims do not go to school.

Yeah, I know it's not personal... But you also don't seem to appreciate that maybe those 5 bars are put there because of the game and they are different.

Deleting them are for your way of playing, having them are for others way of playing. I love having a lot of different bars and places even on smaller maps because that's the way I play and the way I build.

It's just- there are many Empty worlds where the player can put in just a few lots- a whole exchange of lots to choose- and then no need to say worlds aren't made right. I guess I've found one more of my buttons that make me feel bad.

I have half a dozen bars in my main world before so who knows how much bar staff get generated?

@Rflong7 I did not say a world was made wrong. I don't play a lot of big worlds because of lots, Some how a big world over whelms me. I wasn't even saying it was bad or wrong, it was just a thing I discovered when I started to play a larger world then I normally play and it was not one of your worlds. I've never used them all and I try to combine as many as I can but even going down to half, that's a lot of lots- and half wouldn't fit on a small world map. :)
