Do you mean the in-game bin, or the sim templates in CAS? The former is what you get if you save a household from Edit Town. Sims saved this way keep their skills and their relationships to other sims saved in the same household. I believe they retain their personal inventories, but it's been a while; I can check if you want. They also keep their jobs, but if you place them in a new town that doesn't have the required rabbithole (for example an actor sim without the Late Night movie studio) on the map for even a moment, that sim will lose their job. In that case, you'd need to place the rabbithole first, then the household.
If you're talking about sims saved directly in CAS, specifically by clicking the three dots on the sim portrait and then the folder icon, these sims are templates and don't have any skills or other data aside from what you apply in CAS.
