What is the difference between YA and Adults in the Sims 3?

I play both sims 3 and 4 but the Sims 4 has obvious lines in the adult stage that you can see on the sims. However the Sims 3, I can't really see anything in particular and just looks like a young adu...

In addition to the wrinkles mentioned above, adults have more shriveled cheeks and lips, which is obvious at the CAS when switching age.
