What is the difference between YA and Adults in the Sims 3?

I play both sims 3 and 4 but the Sims 4 has obvious lines in the adult stage that you can see on the sims. However the Sims 3, I can't really see anything in particular and just looks like a young adu...

Adults have a lower fertility rate in general and are also able to suffer a Midlife Crisis when aging up with generations based off how their young adult life went.

Plus a few wrinkles here and there, but nothing major visually!
