... in two separate games have waved to me! In both cases, I had them go to the park right after work and socialize. Also in both cases, they were living in the "Pre Fabulous Home" which I had recently renovated (heavily) the interior - (had to remove that window up front so I could put my flat-screen tv up as well). Also in both cases, I had recently fenced in the yard - to keep the paparazzi, animals, and zombies out.
In conclusion, Mary and Blair were waving at either me or the solid (windowless) wall.
BTW, I've always play at this angle - not that default up-high angle.
I've had my sim look at me sometimes too. One time in particular was during my bachelorette game when I had my sim go on a date with one of the contestants. I started them off by dancing together at a dance club then left them alone to see how they would progress on their own. When he began to dance on the tabletop she looked up at me, expressing her opinion of him, almost as if she was asking me not to stick her with him.

I've also had sims throw their hands up in the air and look to the heavens as if they're asking "what are you having me do?"

Here I had him change into all his outfits one after another.
Also sims will stomp their foot and/or start cussing when I cancel something they want to do.
