What is your favorite Custom World that is often overlooked?
For me, it's Gyeongbokgong. It's a South Korean-inspired world created by a South Korean creator. The creator has uploaded this work of art to his/her own website-blog (affiliated to Naver, a South Korean company) and the Sims 3 Exchange.
Personally, I love it because it is an Asian-themed world that is actually residential. Too many worlds out there would have modern Western architecture; this one is unique because it is East Asian-themed and residential. The creator has done a pretty good job with the layouts of the houses; they are believable and realistic. The creator also doesn't use rabbithole rugs, but instead, would bury the Maxis-made rabbitholes underground OR would create a Western-style business district.
Too often, I like to set up an Asian storyline to go along with it. I once created a female Sim from Korea who left home to pursue Buddhism in China. I also created a male Sim in Korea who left home to pursue Buddhism in China. I just pretended that it's roughly the Joseon-era, before the Japanese colonial era.
