- Cororon8 years agoRising TravelerCan't play much with babies, but I answered Toddlers, because I find them very annoying. When they are awake they make irritating sounds all the time! But as I said in another thread, I don't want a Sims without toddlers. They are a part of life.
- @Cororon I feel like baby and toddler are the shortest irl anyways. I think baby is like 0-2 and toddler is like 2-4-maybe5, then you're a kid, so it seems reasonable that those two would be short.
- SillyHartluv8 years agoRising ScoutI think I misread the post. I picked baby, because I seldom play with babies as my active sim. Most of the time I only click on them if they turn yellow and do not have the thought bubbles. I also have the baby stage set to the least amount of days for my lifespan, because it doesn't determine my sim's traits or impact my game as much as the other life stages do, which, if I think about most people don't remember being babies anyhow.

I play on Epic, but I've set those two life stages to 2-3 days. Child, Teen, Young Adult and Adult are set on Max, and Elder somewhere in the middle.
My sim babies get 7-14 days depending on the lifespan I'm playing. It is not always about the babies, but how the family copes with the new additions, especially if you like testing them with multiples like I do. Babies don't do much, but how do my sims deal with the feeding and pooping and crying etc in addition to work and chores and play time. That is part of the challenge and in sims 3 it is fun seeing them wave their cute little arms (with mod) in the stroller or the swing.- Jaletu8 years agoNew AceYou know, I don't have a lot of babies in my games but I do play them occasionally. And since they added the stroller and the baby mat, I enjoy them more. But I haven't had an elder for about 5 years! I get bored and start a new game before my sim ages up. :s
- I play TS2 style rotationally on a highly customized lifespan edited outside of the game as my stage lengths aren't supported by the ingame sliders.Babies are the shortest stage being ony for 60 days which is equal to a year for sims.
Pregnancies last 30 days
Babies are for 60 days
Toddlers get 120 days
Children get 360 days
Teens are 180 days
Young Adults get 540 days
Adults get at least 1080 days
Elders have 540 days though it can last longer at almost any stage. - I always start a new game before the main sims age to elder.
- Babies, second toddlers because I mostly play with aging off and never create families with them. But I just can't stand babies, they're like objects which are just lying around without doing anything except eating and sleeping. I can't stand them in real life either, maybe this comes into play as well
- This was a tough one because babies and elders are tied for me.
Ultimately I went with Elders though because I can't remember the last time I played with one and second, I feel babies don't really count as a life stage (and I play them a tad bit more than elders and have them set at 8 days at the most - I play epic lifespan. :) )
But it's all good. :p
