What should I buy from the store?

Hi all! I just found that on my TS3 shop account I had 2000 simpoints which I could redeem so I now have some to spend! I was hoping to get a world but the only one I can afford is Hidden Springs, so I was wondering alternatively if there's any sets or items people would recommend?

Edit: Just to add, sorry I forgot to mention before but I already have the gold version of Sunlit Tides but that's all I currently own. I also have 500 points on another acc but it seems you can't gift points anymore which is annoying :s I'll probably use those to buy another item and gift it!
  • I like the canning station. It gives us a lot more to do with harveastables.

I would recommend a venue that includes premium content. My personal favourites are World of Wonder, Stones Throw Greenhouse, Grandpa's Grove and the Al Fresco Street Market, but it all depends on which items you most want to use!

The Head Start Playpen and the Dirty No More Changing and Bathing Station are also very useful premium items.
  • Ok my 2 cents I own the store but if went back to a "I have nothing" scenario that 2k would be me personally choosing stuff you could use every game and not gimmicky,Here is the breakdown of that budget used and why

552 of those simpoints would go to the Teppantaki grill, reason is it makes a great center island in the kitchen with a counter next to it to add your sink looks great. Also adds new foods you can make and is a cute new fun way to learn the cooking skill and prepare food in general. Also adds a touch of danger cause low cooking skill on this object can singe you/catch you on fire. The animations are cool especially when you get good with this object

    New food recipes

Teppanyaki Chicken Fried Rice (No Cooking Level)
    - Teppanyaki Vegetable Medley (No Cooking Level)
    - Teppanyaki Pepper Steak (Level 2 Cooking)
    - Teppanyaki Jumbo Shrimp (Level 3 Cooking)
    - Teppanyaki Fillet Mignon (Level 4 Cooking)
    - Teppanyaki Salmon (Level 5 Cooking)
    - Teppanyaki Lobster (level 6 Cooking)
    - Teppanyaki Trio (Level 7 Cooking)

The multitab Too many reasons to list why you need this and I think it is on sale also for 200 simpoints

You spent 752 so far and have 1,248 left

Solace Snugabunny Baby Swing really really handy and takes the stress out of raising up toddlers/babies this is so good and is on sale for 265 simpoints.Like a swinging babysitter of bliss gives you more time in your day to enjoy other things than annoying pooping crying screaming kids :#

This will leave you just shy of 1k

Myself am a fan of community lots and stuff to go to visit and interact with would buy the Its business time industrial oven which you can use to make a place to dine out at in town that is a non rabbit hole. You have waiters NPCs spawned by this that take your order and bring your food to your table,It includes the menus you order from too.It is great solo or for relationship gameplay to take out your date there, they seem to enjoy it.

Cost 879 simpoints but think of it as a new venue you make and can visit every game every town forever *The included menus you place are found in small appliance section* In case you buy this people have trouble finding it sometimes so adding that

The bistro oven gameplay Click play below

There you spent it all and got 4 key things that will be used and useful to gameplay every game

  • If you are willing to wait, Sunlit Tides world is a daily deal for 1127 and the premium venue Serenity Retreat is also one, the lowest price for it being 513. If you were to take advantadge of those deals, you could afford world other than Hidden Springs. You can find the spreadsheet that does tell you when daily deals will go live on the Store section of this forum.

Other than that I have really enjoyed the toddler changing table and the playpen, but that is kind of a playstyle dependent.
  • To go on on what @Paikallinen already said. I'm just going to quote myself.

Sunlit Tides (standard edition) is on sale once:

    • 972 ) Sunlit Tides / 1127 / 2450 / 54% / 2 hrs

If you buy Serenity Retreat as Daily Deal (DD) as well, you basically get the gold edition much cheaper:

    • 100 ) Serenity Retreat / 1026 / 1539 / 33% / 2 hrs
    • 244 ) Serenity Retreat / 589 / 1539 / 62% / 2 hrs
    • 643 ) Serenity Retreat / 741 / 1539 / 52% / 2 hrs
    • 690 ) Serenity Retreat / 513 / 1539 / 67% / 2 hrs

See also this post from angeljess26 regarding getting Sunlit Tides Gold much cheaper. The cheapest you can get it for is 1640 simpoints. In this post by Me1620 you will find personalized Time Zone Specific DD Trackers Spreadsheets so you know which date you can expect which item on the DD.

I have Sunlit Tides. It is a beautiful world and it plays really nice. So have fun with it when you (eventually) buy it.

The list rotates so you will get another chance to buy Serenity Retreat.

The current Daily Deal list, which was introduced on September 23, 2014 at 12:07 a.m. UTC, includes 977 deals. After the 977th deal ends, the deals begin at Deal 1 again. A full rotation of the list takes 82 days. (See this post for background information about the Daily Deal list.)

    EDIT:
Anyway, I think you should keep an eye on the Daily Deal Rotation List for good deals (including venues). It will save you lots of SimPoints. I have most venues for a fraction of their regular pricing. You can unhide all the spoilers to see the DD's. Use + to search quickly for the items you're looking for (just make sure you unhide all spoilers first before you start a search).

  • I have always enjoyed playing with the Casino Venue which comes with the gold version of Lucky Palms. It can also be bough separately and there is at least one other set which gives you additional gaming tables. I agree with @SimLibby rather than pay full price why not wait until the venue comes up on daily deals then your 2k will go a little further :)
