A large world with 20 lots to build. Forests, swamps. yellow brick roads, labyriths, hollows & the woods.
Oh I like the sound of that!
I must have missed that one me too sound fabulous :)- Rflong7Seasoned VanguardI'm thinking of making an Adventure world where one place opens up another using the hidden island markers with the WA tombs. How fun to play... well, not so much for me because I'll know all the ways to the next area. :(

I really love where your creator world thinking hat is at the moment as I skip from one of your worlds to another to play lol I love the sound of this new one if it becomes a reality :) - Rflong7Seasoned Vanguard

Thanks!
I've been thinking about it, slowly. I'm not a skilled tomb builder and I'd have to see how far each of the settings on the Hidden island markers reach. It's do able, I think. :sunglasses:
OP, you'll find some people will love the worlds you love to make and some people won't. You have to find your style and do it. :) - graceymanorsRising Veteran@Rflong7
Omg! That would be perfect for my super heroes xD - I like to play a world that resembles someplace real not a hodge-podge of every terrain possible. I also don't like every kind of lot jammed into one world either. I like 1024X1024 worlds better than 2048X2048 ones. I do not like one huge world with horse farms and high-rises and beaches and swamps. Instead I like having a swampy world, Twinbrook is just fine, I can play in when I want. A beach town or island I can live in or visit. A rural town, love Riverview, for horses and farms and Appoloosa Plains is OK. A city, Bridgeport is OK. but would like something different.
Palm trees and mountains in one world breaks my suspension of disbelief, as does snow and palm trees. Others may be fine with it but for me it takes away some of the joy. If I could play pretending my sim was on an acid trip then I could possibly enjoy every kind of terrain, weather, activity and occult all in one world. But I generally play a little more realistically.
But everyone has their preferred play style so I think if you build your world true to what you like that would be fine with most players. - DollyGizzyNew Spectator@GraceyManor here's Paradise Island https://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=6642263
I wanted to know if they work correctly and truly have only base game trees & stuff... it's an empty world. I'm looking for one to build my own lots. I liked the looks of it. "Rflong7;c-17199579" wrote:
I like a word with everything I can fit.
It has to look good and run well with a good layout.
If it will be your first world, maybe just a medium world which You like and runs well will be the best to aim for.

First, thanks for your input! It helps to know what people look for :) As for the size, it's not the first time I've played with CAW, I just honestly have never done anything with the thought of perhaps seeing if anyone else wanted to play it. I know that I'm in the minority - those who can play TS3 with all expansion packs enabled and I really only know how I like setting my own worlds up for my own play style. However I am playing with the thought of building one for other people to use so I thought I'd ask to get a broad perspective :)"GraceyManor;c-17199568" wrote:
I like to play two types of worlds:
Large world that has a bustling downtown and on the outskirts a quiet suburb; that way my sims can live in a quiet neighborhood, but can go out on the town for bars and such.
And the other is small rural or foresty type of world where everyone knows each other's names.
Thanks Gracey! That helps a lot to know! Do you usually add or move lots to worlds you play? Or do you like worlds that are as is? What's your favorite range of houses - I'm curious as to how many starter homes vs mid range vs high end vs luxury lots I should have and how many of them should be empty, etc. Do you value aesthetics in building a home more or function more (nothing saying you can't have varying degrees of both lol.) Sorry to pick your brain, but knowing your play style a little really helps me in the answer to those questions so I was super happy you answered!- Awesome, perfect thank you for giving me a visual example that's fantastic! :)
- @GraceyManor probably knows how I feel about CC - and mods. I do NOT use CC and generally the only mods I use are NRAAS mods that make the game run better because Maxis made it necessary for some brilliant folks to fix all their bugs (although I use NRAAS animator for my science fiction love story occasionally lol.) I've just never trusted them, and honestly I always thought "the less crap in my game the better." While generally that's true, and I use zero cc in terms of custom items, clothes, etc., I can 100% double her support of and vouch for anysizelot. I'd pop an eyeball trying to fix pre-made Maxis worlds without the ability to actually change those hinky sized lots myself and anysizelot is really a very small mod to the code that simply allows the player to work within those hinky sized lots. But I feel you, @Evalen - pop an eyeball frustration levels at odd sized lots that we can't replicate in game for sure, so other than when I feel it's absolutely necessary I will always use to Maxis available lot sizes for sure, that's a fantastic point, thank you for your input :) <3
