What's your favorite way to make money?

Self-employment. Writing and painting are my favs, anyway I have some sims working as self-employed jockeys.

Tough choice. I really do like using the rabbithole jobs, work at them enough and you can make some serious dough with them (plus it gets my sims out of my hair for a few hours). But usually my sims pick up one of the self-employed careers (though unofficially of course, if they already have a rabbithole job) too, it's a good way to help out in the beginning and it gives them a hobby and a way to express themselves. It often tends to be gardening because they can keep some to eat and sell the rest. And it's something a sim can keep up even when they're pregnant or taking a bit of time off to look after a new baby.

I like gardening, nectar making and painting for my sims as I don't want them going off to work where I can't see them and I also don't want a non rabbit hole job that requires me to concentrate on one sim when I have a full household, which is usual since my sims work from home for the sole purpose of producing babies.

I like the freedom of self-employment. Some of my sims do make some nice money that way, but honestly, that's not the reason I like self-employment. More of the actual income likely comes via tiberium brought home by the family dog.

I chose self-employment, but I really like tomb raiding and the ambitions career choices too. I use Rabbit hole jobs to get them to make money at first.

For me, it all depends on what I want my SIM to do for the game I've created. I've got a save where my SIM has to do the careers listed in the rules of that challenge.

Lately, I've been letting wishes rule over decisions I've made for the SIM I'm playing. If she wishes for a rabbit hole job, that's what she gets (I play mostly female).

Dumpster diving,not on the list but is my choice.Rummaging through stinky garbage and being smelly is not just a job,it is an adventure :|

I like having a Sim that loves being outdoors and finding things. :)

I find many of the rabbithole careers to be very satisfying to work through, but my favorite is when my sims provide goods or services and make money by actually charging the customers being served for whatever is being produced or provided. This is one reason why many newly starting out worlds are a bit frustrating for me to play for a while, no one else in town has any money yet! (depends on the world, though)

But this poll question really needed an Other choice because there is one obvious answer that I am surprised no one has mentioned yet.

I chose self employment, but I also have my sims collect objects on the ground like gems, seeds and metals.

Erm.. they also spend a lot of time at the wishing well hoping to find the keys to a car so they can sell it ..
