When did you first start playing the sims

I was middle aged when I came upon the Sims. I’d never picked up the Sims until January 2017 during a convalescence period from a serious illness - too busy with real life and trying to raise a family and build a business from the ground up. I was given my wife’s Sims 3 and told to go play and quit bugging her so she could play Mass Effect in peace and quiet. Of course that promptly git me addicted.
