Makin' Magic is still my gold standard for magic. A new town with a whimsical and spooky feel, new characters, new items and ingredients to make spells, and tons of fun Easter eggs like crystals and the beanstalk? Yes please.
Apartment Life witches are nice, and it comes with a wide array of spells and items, but it's more of a side dish that's not as fleshed out as it could be. You only get two new locations related to magic, and they're only for buying reagents.
I don't care much for the witches in Supernatural. Granted, I got the EP late in TS3's life when it was on sale, but I dislike how the magic skill is hidden, and how you don't have a spellbook to review which spells you can cast. Learning new spells is kind of grindy too, since you have to either play with magic a lot, or cast spells repeatedly to learn. At least with Makin' Magic you had a spell ingredient hunt. At least it comes with some nice things like that broom arena.
