My only problem with Making Magic is that witchcraft is something every Sim could learn, and not a separate life state (obviously, because we didn't have any at that point in time). Compared to TS3 where my witches could run around causing chaos for normal human sims it made it feel a lot less special.
I never played witches in TS2 so I can't compare it to 3 or 1.
