Who's Calling? And traffic?

Does anyone know if there's a way to see who's calling before having my sim cancel what they're doing to answer the phone when its someone I don't want them to talk to? XD I'm open to any mods and such too. Also, does anyone know if there's a mod or anything that'll make it so the game recognizes cars and allows for stop signs/traffic lights/cross walks? (Is it weird I want that in my game? XD ) Meaning that a car can't go through another car and such.

Edit: Different question, my sim was having a sleepover with another sim and at 11AM all of a sudden they just both disappeared from the bed. My sim is now standing next to the bed and all actions I had queued up are now gone, and the other sim spawned in his garage at his own home. I saw something similar to this problem saying something is causing them to reset, but as soon as it happened I got a notification that the other sim is throwing a party in 2 hours and I'm invited, could that have anything to do with it? Or should I reset the sims or put in a new bed? lol
  • Caller ID: No, this does not exist as far as I know.

Traffic: No, but I can explain why this one doesn't exist. Roads, sidewalks, and paths are single-threaded in each direction as per the game's design. Ever notice that two sims out on the world lot cannot walk in the same direction side by side or drive (ride a bike, witch's broom, hoverboard, etc.) alongside of another one? This is why. If sims had to recognize and slow down or stop for other vehicles, then the faster moving ones would never be able to go any faster than the vehicle in front of them, or sim walking in front of them in case yours was jogging or running, and they might have to stop behind cars waiting at the side of the road for their passengers to get in/out. That would clog up world lot routing and slow the game engine down measurably. Working and observed traffic lights would present similar performance issues. It's probably just as well that things are as simplistic as they are in this regard. I'm sure we don't want to see down into the imagined subway system either, I bet it's a real mess down there especially during rush hour. ;)

Sims Reset: If you are using NRaas ErrorTrap, it may give you a script log at the time of the reset that can provide clues as to what happened. Such a log would have to be uploaded to us at NRaas though and a support thread opened, we can't really provide this service here. If your sims continue to act oddly, I would suggest MasterController Resets on both of them, the testingcheatsenabled kind don't really do much.
  • @Chi5678 It's not uncommon in my games for sims to be reset out of their beds. This happens most often when one of the sims doesn't "belong" in a particular double bed (whether someone's cheating or just single and having a sleepover), and when I've saved and reloaded during or after a woohoo. I usually don't have any long-term issues with sims affected by this, although sometimes it can be a symptom of a sim with a borked action/posture/inventory item—one particular offender is a sim playing guitar for tips when I save one evening, and then he/she gets hard reset by the game around 7 am the next day, with a shuffled inventory and rebooted needs. But if you're getting an error that reads something like, "ScriptError: Woohooer," it might be that when you reboot a save, the game reloads the data in a corrupt way that one of your mods is fixing.

Sometimes after this error, the bed doesn't work anymore—any action to sleep or relax on it is immediately dropped. I used to sell the bed and buy a new one, but it can be fixed using MC's object reset. Click on the ground anywhere on the lot, nraas>object reset>not inventory (if it's placed on the lot; if it's in the family inventory you can select "inventory" instead) and a list of objects will come up. If you have more than one of these beds on the lot (not just a double but the specific buy item, regardless of color scheme), selecting from "not inventory" will reset them all, so if you don't want to disturb someone else who is already asleep, drag the borked bed into your family inventory and reset it from there instead.
