Why don't the plants age and die in the Stones Throw greenhouse lot?

I didn't know the original greenhouse had a death plant in it.
Once picked, the plant dies. A Sim with the green thumb, I believe, can regenerate it one more time. It's been awhile for me there. I don't believe the death plant regenerates on the Cemetery lot, either. :)
