DD- I just had Pete check and he said that Windows 8.1 update will be free of charge at the Windows 8 store. Also he says that ZD net has an article about it that you might be interested in.
I am glad I decided to stay with window 7 Pro when Pete gave me the option when I got the new Harddrive a couple months ago - as I did not like at all what they were saying about 8 and knew Pete had tried a tech copy they had for putting in new pc systems and he agreed he wanted no part of it either. He has not looked at all the posted info - but from what he has seen it should be somewhat better - but he says he is glad we both decided to stay with 7. Also the new company where he works already has him updating their system - they were only at XP anyway - so they had to do something as XP support is pretty much history - but Pete talked them out of 8 and is putting Windows 7 Pro and Window 7 home on all their pcs.
That is all I know and just asked - so I sure do hope it helps you.
Yay, looks like we have a game update and it fixes the routing head ache with the 3 spaces thing or says it does. I have a feeling a bunch of people may be annoyed seeing they went and said everyone had to move their buildings back some - and then they go fix it. Even I doubted they'd fix by what they said about it was necessary with IP. Looks like the Guru's and engineers need to learn to talk to each other before they go spouting stuff or making people change things - as I know that messed with a good number of CAW worlds too and some went and redid them already. Wonder if that change will mess the fixed ones back up again. I see Caw creators donning pitchforks EA.
Yeah the new farm set looks wonderful, but unfortunately I can't get it this time. I just pre-ordered the stuff pack last week and only have enough money left in my account to cover that. But eventually I will get it. Looks really cute and adorable.
ETA - It's good to know DM is okay - poor guy just can't catch a break lately - so that is good to hear. Thanks for letting me know DD. I appreciate it.
