Thanks, aminovas. I did save the household before I cued up Uni so maybe if I place them in a new save (and for good measure I may plop ErrorTrap in to clean up any issues), maybe I'll have better luck!
Also, I'm sorry I forgot to comment on your post, RJ. 'Cause I agree, that many sims must have been amazing to see! I've heard of glitches with multiple spawning Butlers, and I've seen screenshots with multiple Proprietors, and one time I saw some pictures of a person's game who had a kazillion babies born on one lot. I must say, that was rather hysterical. She showed pics of all the babies all over the lawn (cause they sure wouldn't all fit in the house!). This might have been back when we only had the Base Game, not sure. I wish I would have kept that link, although the pictures may not still be there anyway. :-o

It was nice of them, considering they haven't given away anything for free (at least nothing not sponsored, like the Ford items) in a long time. But I do wish they would have included that giant spider web as a wall stencil!
