Would it be weird if I revived my Parker save in sims 3?

I'm six generations into the save in sims 4, but the last name of Parker has been lost due to the first-born of second generation being a daughter, thus changing her last name. Should I bring Ethan and Emily back in Sims 3?

    Nope... I think it's really fun trying to recreate sims from other series.

    Since I like my Carp family so much in Sims 3, I've started a Karp legacy in Sims 4. :p

    That's no different than me bring Eli and Ami Jankowsky into TS3 when I started using them in TS2.
