64 bit Sims 3 for mac 6 fps
I desperately need help. I've installed all the 64 bit entitlements today and when I finally went to play after all was successful, I went to adjust display quality in the game settings. After messin...
I'll show you what that resolution looks like now. I also have massive black eyelashes, static type hair and the edges of the sim clothing is super blurry - in CAS.
When I try changing the in-game graphic details slide bars, no matter how high or low I set them, there's no change in the graphic, even after restarting the game.
I got the 64 bit entitlements from EA as I was have8ng trouble with the 32 bit and on my last post, you said to get the 64 bit 😅
I tried loading CAS in Sunset Valley, in the 1440 x 900 resolution and continues through to placing the sim into a lot, then the game shut down...
@Mafrican17 The problem with eyelashes and hair is a known issue with its own thread:
For the eyelashes, the only workaround is to set the lashes to the minimum in CAS and use custom lashes instead. Disabling Advanced Rendering can help with the hair, but also, it's usually only a problem in CAS.
For the graphics settings, please go into Documents > Electronic Arts and delete options.ini. This will reset all in-game settings. Load the game to the Main Menu, then change the graphics settings to what you want, and quit to desktop before loading a save. For now, please turn lighting and tree detail to the minimum and disable Advanced Rendering, and see whether the game runs better.
If that doesn't help, try removing the Pets expansion. Sims 3 is likely installed into either Applications or Users > your username > Applications, and there will be a "The Sims 3 Packs" folder in the same location. Open this folder and drag the EP05 folder to the desktop. (Pets was the 5th expansion released.) This will temporarily uninstall Pets, so you can test without its effects. You'll need to start a new save since existing ones that were previously run with Pets present won't work properly, but that's fine, this is just for testing.
