Launcher crashes when I open the downloads tab in Sims 3
Game launcher crashes when I open the downloads tab in Sims 3, maybe someone has ideas how to fix this problem. I play in Mac. I uninstalled everything and then reinstalled but unfortunately it didn't help. I bought a new world - Roaring Heights Gold Edition but I can't download it in my game when launcher crashes.Missing Objects Warning after travelling from University
Hello! If anyone could help with this I'd be really appreciative! I recently got the University Life expansion. After my Sim had finished their semester they tried to return home and I was met with the Missing Objects Warning: Some objects could not be loaded and were replaced. The UI is completely blank, no sims, no money etc. The house my sim and her family were in is still there with the extension I built, however her family is not there or in the UI. I've also tried her dropping out of university instead of travelling home when the semester ends however the same thing happens. If I go to edit town and then back out of it, it takes me to the game setup page as if I have opened a new file to make a new save with new family etc. My family is in my library however how they started where the sim I had at university is a child I have tried the following steps found on another forum post: Empty out your sims' inventories as much as is reasonable. Having a few items is fine, but not much more. Save the game immediately before you want your sims to travel. Exit to the Main Menu and lower all the graphics settings to the minimum. Turn off the in-game shopping experience and the interactive loading screens as well, then quit to desktop. Delete the five cache files in your user folder (listed above) again. Take your computer completely offline. You can sign in and put Origin in offline mode before disconnecting your computer and launching the game. Disable the Origin in-game overlay as well. Load the game, and once the clock has run for a few sim-minutes, send your sims traveling right away. Once they arrive in their destination, use "save as" to rename the save, then quit. If you want, you can first exit to the Main Menu and raise the graphics settings again, but be sure to quit to desktop before reloading the save. However this has not worked, still getting the missing items warning. I have also tried creating a clean The Sims 3 folder in the Electronic Arts folder and copying my save into the new folder. Hasn't worked. Also tried resetSim * and resetSim mysimsname, hasn't worked. I have the following installed: Expansions: World Adventures Ambitions Late Night Generations Pets Seasons University Life Island Paradise Stuff Packs: High End Loft Town Life Outdoor Living Master Suite I did have the following NRaas Mods however have tried removing them after the first couple times of this bug. Even with mods removed it still happens: Story Progression & Story Progression Extra Woohooer More Toddler Interactions I have no custom content! Sims 3 purchase history missing!!!!
in 2015 I purchased and installed the sims 3 onto my old laptop. I have the disk, case, code and, receipt from purchase. I also have 5 expansion packs for the game. I would really love to play this version since I spent so much money on it otherwise it was a waste of money, I now have a Apple, but I still use the same email as when I registered every game and expansion pack, I have tried to find them but cannot!!! PLEASE HELP ME[CURRENT ISSUE 64-bit] Cannot collect insects
My sims cannot collect any insects in Sims 3. This includes: butterflies beetles fireflies nanites However, I believe all other collectibles work fine, with the exception of the underwater ones, which I couldn't test because water actions are broken The items that can be collected are: space rocks, gems, metals birds, lizards, rodents, snake, turtles wildflowers harvestable plants and mushrooms I tested this in a new save in Sunset Valley, in a clean folder.[CURRENT ISSUE 64-bit] All open water options missing
All of the options sims should have for open water activities are missing from the water itself, which offers no options when clicked. (Open water means any water that's not a pool or made with the pond tool.) In the 32-bit versions, with all packs installed, sims had a number of options: Fish Swim Play in ocean Play in ocean with toddler Snorkel Scuba dive (with sufficient skill) Boat to a location on the water, if they own a boat Windsurf (once in the water) (I'm probably forgetting a few) However, sims can use a taxi boat to travel from one island to another. This was tested in a new clean folder with zero added content, all EPs installed, in Sunset Valley.[CURRENT ISSUE 64-bit] Sculpture blocks not properly rendered
When my sim is sculpting, the blocks of material are solid black blocks, with no color or texture, that also cover sims or objects in front of them: This applies to clay, wood, metal, stone, and topiary blocks, each of which has its own patterns. The only exception is ice, which while still a solid block, does change from day to evening to night: Previously, ice blocks would have a slight tint to reflect world lighting but would still look like, well, ice. The sculptures themselves look perfectly normal, both when finished and when sticking out of the block of material from which they're being created.Mac version: Sims 3 launcher crashes
I have Sims 3 Mac 64 bit and metal. The launcher crashes when the game boots up, but the game will still boot up and run. The launcher also crashes if the "downloads" or "uploads" button is pressed. I've been experiencing this issue for awhile. I have emptied the cache on the EA app, I have emptied the Sims 3 folder, then reopened the game and painstakingly added back mods, saves and store content. I've been able to add store content by clicking the dots at the bottom of the launcher and downloading each store content item individually. However, my cc doesn't show up here. So I can't reinstall my CC. I have contacted EA and I keep getting AI responses with tips articles for Playstation, or graphics issues. Their AI assistants really don't work very well. Anyway- any tips for getting downloads to work, or for the launcher to not crash? (I even sent them full Apple crash reports. They seriously don't care) thanks.
